AMERICAN
BALD EAGLE TOURS
LAKE DARDANELLE STATE
PARK
Lake Dardanelle State Park is
proud to offer winter Lake cruises for the best chance of
seeing our national symbol - the American bald eagle. Many
other spectacular birds will be in the area for viewing -
including white pelicans, snow geese, and osprey.
The following dates and times will be offered to those who
sign up at the Visitor Center prior to the
date.
They are also scheduling Friday afternoon cruises for
their retired visitors, home school families, or anyone who
can make it. They are asking that you take advantage of a
Friday cruise if possible, so the weekends can be left open
for those who are unable to attend on weekdays.
Please dress very warm as temperatures and winds are much
more severe on the lake. Also, in case of inclement weather,
call 1 hour before tour time for possible cancellations.
Please call (479) 967-5516 or come by the visitor center for
reservations

Eagle
watching at Lake Dardanelle
The River Valley is a
favorite wintering area for the American Bald Eagle. From
late fall through early spring, eagles are often seen
perched in large trees and on snags along the river as they
hunt for their prey. Old Post Road Park in Russellville and
Holla Bend National Wildlife Refuge are popular viewing
areas for these majestic creatures.
