Huckleberry Mountain Horse Trail - 34.3 miles for riding, hiking, ATV and mountain biking. Enjoy winding valleys and cross clear streams.

Mount Magazine State Park - Arkansas' Newest State Park. The highest point in Arkansas is located 16 miles south of Paris on Scenic 309 Byway, rising from the Ozark National Forest at 2,753 feet above sea level. Mount Magazine offers tourists not only the serenity of its natural beauty with scenic overlooks and historical significance, but also provides areas to tourists for camping, picnicking, hiking, horseback riding, hang gliding, rock climbing and rappelling. On a clear day, you can see 40 miles.

National Forest Recreation Area sites are Long Pool on Big Piney Creek; Moccasin Gap for horseback riding, off-road motorcycles and mountain bikes; and Bayou Bluff Recreation Area. Long Pool and Bayou Bluff both feature "old time" swimming holes and picniking.
